Focus Group Discussion with Cancer Survivors
9 August 2022 – The development of effective educational health materials stems from the ability for the material to inform, bring awareness, and develop a response. In order to understand how we can prepare these types of educational health materials; we conducted 4 different focus groups discussions as well as conducted a survey.
The objective of the focus group discussion was to understand how we can produce cancer health materials that are impactful as well as informative. We conducted focus group discussions with different cancer groups and young adults.
Their insights and inputs were used in the development the BEAUTY booklets, videos and animations. Our educational health materials come in different languages—English, Malay, Mandarin and Tamil—to ensure the materials can be understood by the multicultural population that is Malaysia.
