Empowering Beauty Professionals to be Health Advocates: The BEAUTY Pilot Training Programme

The launch of the BEAUTY Pilot Training Programme marked a significant milestone in our ongoing mission to create a network of health change agents within the beauty industry. This innovative program seeks to educate and train barbers, beauticians, and salons, transforming them into advocates for health and wellness.

Our inaugural training session was held at the National Cancer Society of Malaysia’s facilities, where participants gained valuable insights and skills to become knowledgeable health ambassadors. Armed with this newfound expertise, beauticians and barbers are now well-equipped to educate the public about cancer and other non-communicable diseases, fostering a culture of awareness and prevention.

As we move forward, the BEAUTY programme is committed to continuous improvement. We will refine our training programme, making it even more effective in empowering beauty professionals to play a pivotal role in promoting health and well-being within their communities.
